British motorsport celebrated a successful 2014 at the Motorsport Industry Association’s (MIA) annual Business Excellence Awards.

The event took place in Birmingham (Thursday 8 January) as part of the highly prestigious

Autosport International Show. More than 500 guests from around the world came together to recognise the achievements of the motorsport industry over the past twelve months.

The MIA New Markets Award, sponsored by Dell, was presented to Forward Composites for its outstanding business growth in new markets over the past 12 months. The award was collected on behalf of the company by a very proud Managing Director, Paul Jackson.  This latest accolade follows a number of business achievement awards at National, Regional and Local levels.

Chris Aylett, CEO of the MIA, announced that a record number of businesses had been nominated for an award (well over 300). Therefore just being named in the final four nominees was in itself a huge accomplishment, something that Forward Composites also managed to do in the Small Business of the Year category.

Quentor has had a dramatic run of success over the past 5 years culminating by taking the MIA small business award.  Managing Director Kate Asbury was presented the award by Julia Schumacher - Business Partnership Manager at Northampton Enterprise Partnership.
